As if we needed a Steven Universe thread. Actually, considering how many of us are fans, perhaps this was overdo? I highly recommend the series, if you've never seen it. It starts off sorta weird, but develops into an intriguing story. Highs, lows, laughter and tears.
So what is Steven Universe? Ripping off Wiki:
That doesn't come close to scratching the surface. Sugar doesn't squander a single panel. Each short episode (roughly 8-11 minutes) takes us deeper into the setting and characters' psyche. There are moments were the viewer is right there, feeling as though part of the world and standing alongside the characters as they face impossible challenges... or just struggle to make sense of their purpose and of the world around them. These moments resonate with us.
In addition to four complete seasons (we're in season 5 now), it's had several short movies, and a crossover with "Uncle Grandpa"... the only episode I didn't watch. (I loathe the show Uncle Grandpa. Fucking kill it with fire already.)
So what is Steven Universe? Ripping off Wiki:
Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. It is the coming-of-age story of a young boy named Steven Universe, who lives in the fictional town of Beach City with the "Crystal Gems" – Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst, three magical humanoid aliens. Steven, who is half-Gem, goes on adventures with his friends and helps the Gems protect the world from their own kind. Sugar developed the series while working as a writer and storyboard artist on Adventure Time... The series has received critical acclaim for its art design, music, voice acting, characterization, promotion of LGBTQ themes and its science-fantasy worldbuilding, and has a broad and active fanbase. It has been nominated for three Emmy Awards and five Annie Awards. Books, comics and a video game based on the series have been released.
Steven Universe was renewed for a fourth and fifth season in March 2016. The fifth season premiered on May 29, 2017.

You can watch episodes for free by hunting around the 'net. Kisscartoon.eu had the first three seasons for free, and those are also on Hulu, if you have an account there. You can watch 1-5 on kisscartoon.io, though you'll get some nasty popups and your antivirus program will report failed attempts to gain access (I've found that I don't get the popups if I right click on the episodes to open them in a new tab, and then don't click on anything on that page... just let them play).
You can also pick up merchandise at places like Amazon.com (I want to get a shirt for Agy, since he sort of looks like Steven.)
So, what is your favorite episode, oh Steven fans? Have you watched Season 5 yet? If so, what are your thoughts on the two new [REDACTED] and Steven's decision to lay down his life and [REDACTED] for the sake of Earth?
